Family & Friends

There are many ways to include family and friends in Awareness Week.  One of our committee members shared with us that last year she wrote an update to her entire extended family.  She included pictures, ribbons, bookmarks and more.  They responded very positively and were very appreciative to have the opportunity to learn about the injury and a lot about what this little boy's life was like.

Sometimes family and friends do not know how to help or how to respond because they just don't know what to say or do.  Involving them in this way might shift the entire family  - for the positive!

The Spiritual Awareness sheet will offer you some additional ways to gather the family and share awareness in a 'different' way.  We hope you get a chance to read it.

We have two contests that anyone can enter.  Wouldn't it be nice for family or friends to do something for either or both contests - from their perspective.

And of course there is the Awareness Store.  Your family or friends might be interested in supporting your Awareness efforts in some way.  Buying a jewelry ribbon pin or some handsewn pins will help support the project as a whole.

Once Awareness Week is over, don't forget to come back and post a "Wrap Up" on the Awareness Message Board.  We are so interested in hearing about what you did to share awareness - even if it is one little thing.  Your wrap-up will inspire many!
