Spoke with local hospital about conducting seminar for nurse

Post by LSMommy »

I spoke with our local hospital (where my son was born and sustained an OBPI) about bringing in a pamphlet for the OB nurses to raise awareness about OBPI.The educational director suggested I bring my son with me and conduct an inservice for the nurses! What better way to bring awareness and hopefully share some of the birthing techniques I have learned through all of this. I am looking forward to doing anything that will help prevent this from happening to other children. Please contact your local hospital and see what you can do to raise awareness and prevent Obstetrical Brachial Plexus Injuries!!

A Awareness is a possible Pamphlet?? It also Maybe a direction for treatment for a child and parents in dealing with the issues of these birth injury  If there becomes a Pamphlet from UBPN information than I would donate for awareness Pamphlet so a doctor or nurse could give a parent to high risk moms , when a overweight baby may happen?? This comes with my birth erbs 1950 and at birth I weight was 12lbs . My Mom was 5-6 tall. At birth the doctor broke my elbow , scapula and gave me birth erbs. I think a Pamphlet is a very good form for awareness and hopefully give direction to parent for possible treatment for a baby with these birth injury. There are so many post ware a parent doesnt even Know ware the nearest Specialist to treat these injuries it should be listed by doctor by state printed in this Possible pamphlet  I think?? There seems to be a Quest for direction for these injury and a brutal time element for sure. At 61 , Retired semi driver with birth erbs. I never had treatment or even a doctor telling me there was any my hole life. It drives me Crazy  That there is so little direction when these birth injuries Happen
