We have always called my 4 yr. old daughter's arm "Rightie". Last night I asked her why "Rightie" was not helping to put on her socks and she replied "Rightie is not part of the team!"

How funny is your daughter! That is so cute!
Next time tell her that rightie must learn to be a "team player." I guess it's better than having to tell her to use both hands... LOL...LOL..

She has begun to develop a great sense of humor and it will serve her well. Having a sense of humor about my arm has helped me to maintain balance in my life and lead a normal life. ( what ever normal really is?)

I admit it - I am a lurkey turkey. My son, Javier will be one in about a week. I come to this forum, because seeing how adults handle this and have normal and HAPPY lives and WONDRFUL personalities gives me a smile and hope for my son. My older son (5) calls him Nemo and tells me that Nemo's dad's name is the same as mine. Mine is Marlyn and his is Marlon. Anyway- a few months ago, I had a very vivid dream that Javier was on an NBA team and his name was 'Da One Armed Bandit'. And boy, is he ever a bandit, the attitude and stubborness of this kid is amazing. By the way- I love Erby and Lefty. lol too cute

I guess I am not funny about what I call my arm, as it is either my right arm or as I am pointing to it my this arm.
I do have circles drawn on my arm for my estim placement those are my crop circles.

I always just called it my right arm... I must admit I never talked about it or the problems I had with my arm... because I was the only one in the world with this injury... LOL...

My right OBPI arm was always "My Dumb Arm". But everyone was always aware to look out for "The Lefty", because that arm made up for the "Dumb" one.
You should have seen me climb trees with one arm; my family figured that I was part monkey!
