| This story is New Story submitted by mike on November 06, 1999 at 20:37:27: mike is 32, from florida. Family: My brother was in a very serious car accident in 1989. Since the accident he has suffered from a brachial plexis injury to his left arm. Initially he had no movement of the arm and suffered from very serious pain. Surgery was perfomed on the arm (nerve grafting?), but was not very succesful. Pain killers were prescribed, which were stopped because of the side effects. He currently has gained some movement in the arm, but still suffers from extreme pain. This has been a very tough ten years for our family. Has anybody heard of any new procedures for eliminating the pain and/or gaining more use of the extremity? Thanks | ||
