My daughter has Erb's Palsy. This could of been avoided in so many ways. She could not move her arm till she was about three months of age. She was sent to a nuerologist at about six weeks and started therapy when she was about three weeks of age. She is now eight months and she goes to OT and PT once a week and a nuerologist every three months. She has seen a nuerosurgeon and he didn't want to mess with her till she was a year old. HE WAS WRONG we found a hospital in Texas that all they do is Brachial Plexis injuries. Now we are going there.

Let me tell you my story. I gained 75 pounds when I was pregnant. And my blood pressure kept rising and the doctors didn't do anything and one time my blood pressure rose so high I woke up in the middle of the night and had a headache so bad I could not see out my right eye and the doctor said that was a part of being pregnant. I knew that wasn't right. Then I was sent to a Cardiologist and found I had a heart defect and I should be givin a C-section but the OB said he did not know what he was talking about. So they indouced my labor and I gave birth to beautiful baby girl that weighed 9 lbs and 5 oz. With ERB'S PALSY and the doctor said in 6 months 95% of cases fully recover!

The problem is DOCTORS don't know enough about it to properly give patients accurate information.
Neither do nuerologist, nuerosurgeons, OT, PT, or anyone. There are no books in the library or anywhere to find information.
