Dianne is 42, from SLC, Ut USA.
Family:2children 12 and 10

My son was born with a brachial plexus injury. We live in SLC and in 1989 there was noone in SLC that knew anything about it. We went to the medical library and did some research and went to a few doctors here. We were told that Russell would never have use of his left arm. We called Texas Children's hospital and talked to Dr Rita Lee. She said we needed to wait to see if movement would come back. We made an appointment to go to Texas when he was 3 months old. Up until that point he never moved his arm. A few days before we left he started to move it. It seemed like a miracle. We kept the appointment and were told he was on his way to recovery. He has never had full Range of motion and definitely favors his right arm. He's very active and loves all sports. Recently he has been having chronic pain from his elbow to his wrist. He now cradles his arm and wont use it as it hurts. We have contacted TCH and they want us to send a video of his ROM. The doctor's name is Dr. Rahul Nath. If anyone has used him I would appreciate hearing from you. So 10 years later here we are again. Will keep you posted. Thanks for listening.
