| This story is New Story submitted by Karen Wigger on January 01, 19100 at 06:49:13: Karen Wigger is 33, from Hendersonville,TN. Family:Cole My son was born with no movement in his left arm. It was not a difficult birth. I pushed him out in 5 min. The doctors told me he would get all movement back in 15 days or 50. I didn't worry. After 50 days he had none. We took him to 3 orthos and finally someone said we could take him to pt and ot. Thats when they told me he had Erbs. My son is 7yrs old now. He has 80% extension and rotation. He catches a baseball upside down. He plays basketball. It as not slowed him down at all. He has not yet gotten bugged by any children at school. When he runs he doesn't move his left arm at all. We stoped ot and pt at age 4. They told us he would do his own therpy. Last year they told us no operations would help and we should be happy with what movement he has. This summer a friend told me about a little girl who looked like the same thing Cole had and she had a operation at a hospital in Texas. I called the mother and for the last 3 months I've been in touch with Childrens Hospital in Texas Houston. They have accepted Cole and are going to operate June 12. Keep us in your prayers. | ||
