Hi Everyone! I haven't been on in a long time, glad to be back. Addy had mod quad on Oct. 15th. Our 4 wk anniversary was Monday and we took the splint off.I took ya'lls advice and did it in a warm bath. It did help. My question is that she seems to be protecting her arm and hand alot. She has never really had any problems with her fingers and wrist mostly the shoulder. How long does it take in your opinions for her to start actively using her hand and shoulder? She is holding on to her bpi wrist with her right hand and walking around like that. and she doesn't really want to participate in any actions using her bpi arm. Is this a normal reaction to taking off the splint after surgery? This is day three and I am hoping that she was just adjusting to the soreness of taking off the splint.Please give me you advice and knowledge!!!!
