BPI specialists in St. Louis

Post by Janelle »

My son, 5 years, has a ROBPI and we are seriously considering surgery for tendon releases to help the shoulder movement. We have seen Dr. Kozin in Philly and Dr. Latz in Kansas City and heard their opinions on surgery. They have somewhat different opinions so I'm asking for any info regarding Dr. Latz and Dr. Kozin, as well as any Dr. you know of in St. Louis. It almost seems that we may need a third opinion.

We are seeing Dr Borschel and Dr Goldfarb in St Louis, actually we were supposed to have surgery yesterday but Maggie ended up having a fever so it was postponed.

I could not find Susan Mckinnon's name on the list of physicians at Barnes Jewish, nor when I typed it in on the web. Could you give me some more information. Thanks.

What is it about Dr. Borschel and Dr. Goldfarb that you like? Before you decided on surgery for your daughter, did you get other Dr.'s opinions, and if so, how did they compare?

Janelle,

I see Dr. Borschel in St. Louis and I highly recommend him. I operate a support group here (St. Louis) for families affected by BPI's. You can email me if you like at stlbpi@yahoo.com and I can give you more personalized information regarding our experience and some of the input of the other support group members to possibly aid in your decision.
